Welcome to the third online edition of Montaña Mar Magazine. And a very big Welcome to all those who are seeing the magazine for the very first time. If you are new to Montaña Mar, you can find out about us here.

The May/June home page image reflects the change of seasons and the arrival of Spring. Here in Costa Rica the cooling rains herald the beginning of the Green Season and bring a welcome respite from the heat and dust of summer. While our readers in the North enjoy springtime rains that clean the skies for summer sunshine. The tender pink bud symbolizes the coming season of abundant growth and beautiful flowers that we all share with gratitude and delight. Many thanks to Tanaka Juuyoh for his gorgeous photo of a pink lotus graced by a dragonfly. Click here to read more about the symbolism of a dragonfly.

This month's Music of the Moment starts with some really fun music by Luciano, to accompany the wonderful article by Wendy Russell in Higher Reasonings. How the Site Works

This online magazine serves 2 main purposes: as a forum and meeting place for Costa Rica's evolving community of forward-thinking residents; and as an Information Directory where residents, their visitors and our many international tourists can find the local businesses, products and services to help them meet their needs and enjoy their time travelling our wonderful country. This website has 2 ways to find what you're looking for via 2 main categories: Magazine and Information.

On the Left sidebar you will find a growing Information Directory of businesses, products and services to help you find your way around Costa Rica. You can browse by Destination or Information category. Currently we are based in the Southern Pacific zone of Costa Rica because that's where the magazine started, but are excited to expand and connect the cool communities that exist all over the country. We know that the folks who read the magazine enjoy connecting with like-minded people, and so we encourage local businesses to Advertise and Be Seen in the Information Directory. Help us find and support each other!

The Magazine is featured on the right sidebar. Here you can find out What's Inside under the Current Articles button, read About our history, Download the magazine to read offline, meet Our Writers, browse the Archives, listen to a nifty Song (use the pop-up), and find out how you can Be Seen in Montaña Mar Magazine. You'll also find the useful information you might Need to Know like tide charts, bus schedules, etc.

Here's how the online Montaña Mar Magazine works...

Every 2 months I'll upload a completely new magazine with all your favourite writers, selected articles, and as always, a stunning cover image. You can read it online or download it to take with you. Between magazine launches I'll add more articles and nifty content on a regular basis, so please keep checking in to see what we have that's new.

The majority of the information on this site is in English for now, and on the right sidebar you will find a handy translation tool that allows the entire site to be translated into many different languages. If you'd like to see the site in all its beauty, just hit the F11 button to toggle in and out of full screen mode.
